The passion of one family underlies the solidity and experience drawn from over a century of commitment and dedication handed down from generation to generation to the present day.
At the beginning of the 20th century and before the outbreak of World War I , Carlo Podini together with his sons Oreste, Vittorio and Mario ran a cheese dairy in Lodi in the province of Milan. In 1919, after the war, Oreste moved to Trentino-South Tyrol, while his brother Vittorio opened a new cheese dairy in Udine.
From 1927 on, all three brothers decided to unify their activities in South Tyrol. In 1929, the Company Podini Oreste & Co. was listed as the first company at Bolzano's Chamber of Commerce. In the following decades it was grandfather Vittorio who passed on this passion for food to his three sons Giancarlo, Patrizio and Piergiorgio.
During the 1980s Giancarlo's three sons, Giovanni, Alessandro and Stefano joined the company and, with the founding of Podini Holding, they created and started a new corporate group.
